Intravenous Therapy

Intravenous Bio-Oxidative Therapy

Intravenous Bio-Oxidative Therapy is a treatment used in the destruction of viruses, bacteria and fungus. It can also help to cleanse the system and increase circulation, promote healthy lung function and aid digestion.

How does it work?

The most commonly-used form of bio-oxidative therapy is Intravenous Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy. When an extremely dilute solution of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is introduced into the bloodstream, a reaction occurs, turning the solution into water (H2O) and singlet oxygen (O). These singlet oxygen particles are instrumental in destroying viruses, which are anaerobic organisms; they use carbon dioxide for fuel, not oxygen. Some bacteria – the pathogenic, disease-causing kind – are also anaerobic, and are destroyed.

At the same time, the singlet oxygen particles nourish aerobic bacteria – the kind that aid digestion – promoting inner health and overall wellbeing.

How does it compare with other therapies?

The human body’s defence systems naturally produce hydrogen peroxide to fight pathogens; bio-oxidative therapy speeds the process along. The technique is often used to improve a patient’s general condition and immune response in conjunction with other treatments.
